WATER

In sub-Saharan Africa, the main impacts of climate change will be on our water systems. The resulting water scarcity will hit poor communities, food growers and vulnerable ecosystems the hardest.

EMG aims to build a civil society voice within the water sector that is loud and vibrant, has integrity and depth to monitor environmental and human rights transgressions, and which helps to build an inclusive society in tune with humanitarian and ecological values and relationships.

COMMUNITY RESILIENCE IN CAPE TOWN (CORECT PROJECT)

Read all results on the project page(CLICK ABOVE - as pictured right).

The aim of the Community Resilience in Cape Town (CORECT) Project was to conduct a study that would inform WCWC’s work to improve living conditions in communities, and for its members to learn how to do citizen science.

The project team used the powerful research tool Sensemaker, which is used to collect stories about people’s own experiences and problems. This process allows for making sense and understanding the collective experiences within the situational context and using the knowledge to inform action, decision-making and monitoring.
